The Nikkah of Tamanna and Ian - photography in London by Josie Gray Photography

Nikkah photography for Tamanna and Ian - London, UK

What a fabulous day we had at the

Nikkah of Tamanna and Ian.

The Nikkah was held in the family home, and we were all given a lovely warm welcome by Tamanna and her family. This is where I first found Tamanna and managed to capture a few getting ready photos for her, and a we spent a few moments taking photographs of Tamanna in her fabulous dress, and veil, before guests arrived.

Ian soon arrived with his family, to finish getting ready, with a little help from Tamanna’s mother and Aunty, and Ian and Tamanna and their families all shared in the delicious lunch that Tamanna’s mother and Aunty had prepared. The food was delicious, and the family had even put out gluten free options for me, which was really thoughtful and kind.

And soon the Imam and all guests had arrived, we all took our seats for the Nikkah to begin, which was a lovely ceremony conducted by the Imam.

After the more formal part of the day, and sharing some delicious sweet cakes, which Tamanna’s mum and dad gave to Tamanna and Ian, to help ensure a little sweetness is always part of their new life together, we all headed off to celebrate further at a fabulous local restaurant in Tooting.

The room here was filled with laughter and and happy smiles, and good times, and all shared with the help of generous amounts of the most delicious food and cake to celebrate this amazing day. You can see all the fun and happiness in these photos in the short slideshow by clicking on the play arrow, just here.

Tamanna and Ian - I hope you love your photos as much as I do - you were both totally awesome, looked amazing, and really rocked your day!

Thank you to both you and your families for such a fabulous time I had with you all - it was an honour and a pleasure to capture these photos for you and share in your special day. xxx Jo

Headshot photography in Gerrards Cross, South Bucks - Josie Gray

Ian needed a new headshot for his LinkedIn profile, website and other social media profiles.

Ian - thanks for a great day! You really rocked your Headshots photoshoot!

Ian booked me for Headshots photography, so after a zoom chat so I could understand more about what he was looking for and where the images would be used, we met up on a cold winter’s day, and what a great day we had.

Ian told me that any nerves or anxiety he might have felt before his photoshoot, quickly melted away because we had spoken over zoom and kept in touch, and on the day of the photoshoot, we met for a coffee and a croissant first, then I showed Ian various locations around the venue, and then we captured a few test shots for the different light in different areas, and only when Ian felt comfortable and relaxed, did we start the photoshoot.

We had a great time, and after the shoot, I asked Ian how he felt about the photoshoot - and he said this;

“Josie, it was great fun, I was laughing and relaxed all the way through!”

And that’s exactly how it is - I have found, the best way to create the best photographs for my clients, is to help the person feel comfortable and relaxed, and gently guide them with posing and posture tips, and by making simply making the whole experience as much fun as possible! and as you can clearly see here in this slideshow - this method of working with my clients really works!

So if you need your website photos updating, or refreshing, or you need a more professional but still fun headshot and profile photos, or you could really do with plenty of content for your social media posts, literature and website and need a full Brand photoshoot, then please get in touch, let’s chat to see how I can help you have fun and grow your business.

Personal Brand & Headshot photography at fabulous venue in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire

Here is a slideshow of Personal Brand & Headshot photography created one morning at a fabulous local Events Centre in Gerrards Cross, South Buckinghamshire.

This was a fabulous photoshoot, the venue was so very welcoming;

My colleague and I met just inside the main entrance, in the spacious, light-filled reception lounge. There, we were welcomed by the cheery fronds of a delightful almond blossom tree, which you can see in the photos.

We continued on to the main reception, to be greeted by another indoor plant and ferns arrangement, bringing a fresh and soothing welcome to the venue.

We decided to order a light brunch before the photoshoot, the coffee was delicious, the croissants and pain chocolate fresh and warm, and the catering and events staff could not have been more helpful.

My colleague and I enjoyed our time at the venue, were well looked after, and as you can see, the resulting photographs were just what we had hoped for.

Personal Brand Photography for fabulous local business coach and mentor in Hertfordshire by Josie Gray Photography:

When this lovely business owner, got in touch to book me for a personal brand photography photoshoot, I could not have been more delighted.

On the day of the photoshoot, we had an amazing time, including a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, and managed to capture many fabulous photos.  It was such a fun day!

We began working towards the photoshoot day a few weeks before. I offer all clients a Brand Clarity workbook and pre-shoot consultation - this helps the client get more clear on their brand and helps me understand more about their plans and vision, and helps me to design and prepare a really impactful photoshoot ensuring my clients get maximum value from their investment and the time they are spending with me on the photoshoot day.

So on the day of the photoshoot - all outfits and locations were already planned and this process had also helped us get to know each other better before the day, so on the day of the shoot, the client felt a lot more comfortable and relaxed and really enjoyed her day.

Take a look at the first peeks slideshow below and I’m sure you’ll agree – she was amazing and she absolutely rocked her photoshoot!

Headshots VS Personal Branding: What’s the Difference?

Headshot or Personal Brand Photography?

When Andrea got in touch through Instagram, she was initially looking for Headshots photography or Business Portraits. I was delighted to hear from her because being a specialist Business and Brand photographer, Headshots, professional portraits, profile photos and Personal branding photography are my passion and so Andrea had come to the right place!

Headshots are important and useful to all business owners, and are an important part of the Business and Brand Photography photoshoot experience.

So what happens if you are looking for a Headshot or Professional Portrait for you in your business?

Well, it all starts with an easy-going chat over zoom - Andrea booked in for a complimentary discovery call via my website and we soon met over zoom. We seemed to click pretty much straight away and quickly got on well together and it was lovely getting to know Andrea and hearing more about her business plans and what she was looking for in terms of photographs.

New Photos needed for a new website

Andrea explained that she is having a new website built and has recently moved to a new venue for her therapy clinic and she needed new photographs, mostly some headshots, and as Andrea told me more about her business and some of the challenges she faces, as a small business owner, it became clear to Andrea that she could really benefit from having a selection of photographs, rather than just a few headshots, so that she could show up more easily online and give more helpful information to her website and profile visitors. Andrea needed some really good, scroll-stopping photographs of her and her business. Andrea had come to exactly the right place!

Do you just need a Headshot?

When looking for a professional business photographer, often a small business or business owner may start out thinking they just need a couple of headshots or business portraits to put on their website, but…….

a headshot is simply like saying hello, you need a personal branding photoshoot to continue the conversation!

During Andrea’s discovery call, it became clear that Andrea would be investing more wisely by booking in for a personal branding photoshoot that would include headshots, because a brand photoshoot would give her more variety of images which would be a lot more helpful to her in building and growing her business going forward.

But the biggest benefit of choosing a brand shoot was that through the resulting photographs, Andrea’s new clients and customers could get to know her better, they could see more about the therapies and wellbeing services that Andrea offers and also see the new venue they would be visiting, so that they can feel less anxious and better prepared when they finally arrive at Andrea’s Amber Therapy, for their appointments.

Yes, as you can see from Andrea’s highlights slideshow / highlights reel here - Andrea’s Business Branding photoshoot included the headshots that she needed but it also gives Andrea plenty of photographs to pick from; she will now have heaps of photos to use more easily in her marketing; for her social media, her website and for her literature, saving Andrea a time, helping her to create her social media posts more consistently in a similar style and vibe, helping to grow her brand and business.

What sort of photos are included in a Personal Brand Photoshoot?

The photos include scenes of Andrea working in her therapy clinic, of the welcoming and calming and cosy environment, that Andrea has so carefully and thoughtfully created, which will really help Andrea’s potential clients see what to expect on an appointment, and get to know her better. Andrea is a qualified Therapist and often her clients need extra reassurance of knowing where they will be going, and what they can expect to find when they are there. Seeing the welcoming and calming therapy rooms in photographs before their appointment should help ease any of her clients’ worries and anxieties.

Personal Branding photography is so much more than a headshot -

a Headshot is a simple handshake but Personal Branding Photography is the conversation that follows!

and brand photography is very much about helping you as the business owner help your clients!

After your photoshoot, you will have a selection of onbrand beautiful professional photographs and images to hand, that you can use in your marketing, literature and on your website, that will help YOUR clients to get to know you, and know better what to expect when they make a booking, book your service, and when they buy from you.

If you are thinking about getting new headshots or product lifestyle images and would now like to know more about personal brand photography and how it can help you in your business, then please book a complimentary discovery call for yourself today - We can help you work out exactly what you need, what would be most helpful to you, and what would be most helpful to your potential customers and clients.

Book in now for your complimentary Discovery Call - I only offer a few photoshoots per month and get booked up quickly so book now to find out more about Brand photography, including those business portraits and headshots!

London & Hertfordshire Family photography - Baptism Christening in Watford, Reception in Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire

A fabulous christening, filled with fun and laughter. Photographs include a mix of natural, happy images of guests and family enjoying being together, laughing and having a lovely day, as well as some more formal family groups and portraits and some beautiful baby photographs. This little baby was such a cutie - she is just able to sit up on her own, so her portraits included some photos of her sitting, near her christening cake, and laughing at her Baptism Balloons and at her grandmother, whilst being well propped with plenty of pillows to keep her safe!

Wedding at The Great Tythe Barn, Long Newton, Tetbury, Gloucestershire - Relaxed, Natural, authentic wedding photography by Josie Gray

A beautiful, romantic wedding at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire

A Long awaited romantic wedding in the Cotswolds

It was early summer and had been raining on and off quite heavily, but in between, the day was bright and fresh and when I arrived at the Great Tythe Barn in the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, to capture wedding photographs for the day, and I just knew this was going to be a fabulous wedding day.

Both cottages (right next door to each other in the lovely grounds of the Great Tythe Barn), where everyone was getting ready, were filled to the brim with excitement and laughter, the sound of champagne glasses chinking, gift-giving hugs and squeals of excitement, bouquets and bridesmaids, wedding dresses, sisters, friends, family, cousins, makeup artists and hairdressers, and I loved to capture all the goings on of the morning in fabulous bridal preparation photographs.

And that was just the start!

The Great Tythe Barn is a lovely venue with plenty of light and space and had been beautifully decorated with fresh flowers. Everyone was comfortably spaced and although we needed to wear masks at the time, for the ceremony, the ceremony was lovely, meaningful, and after 4 postponements of this planned wedding, a very joyous occasion!

Soon we were all piling out into the sunshine for congratulations, confetti, hugs and a few group photos before the newly wedded couple and I escaped for a little while to capture some more very special, just married, portrait photographs.

We were soon on our way back into the Tythe Barn where the ceremony room had been rearranged to make a wonderful wedding breakfast space. Tables were beautifully decorated with fresh flowers in repurposed drinks bottles creating a colourful atmosphere and each table on the seating plan was named after a town or place that was special to either Caroline or Hannah. Guests had to remain seated at tables whilst indoors for canapes due to the current restrictions, but there was no restriction on the conversations, love, laughter and all the catching up to be done amongst friends and family, and soon Caroline and Hannah were welcomed in to lots of cheers and claps and whoops of delight by their guests, to their Wedding Breakfast feast.

The catering and food was really delicious and soon we were on to the speeches. These were a great mix of funny and happy memories and well wishes and resulted in so many emotions throughout the room of love and pride and support for two such fabulous and amazing women.

Among many other things, Caroline really loves a treasure hunt! So you will see in the photos, Hannah was not going to escape her wedding day without going on a treasure hunt organised by Caroline, especially for her! It was really fun, Caroline had given me the heads up of an extra photo opportunity, so I knew to follow along too - Hannah was taken outside and lead off in the direction of her first clue - each clue was handed over by a special guest with a clue leading on to the next clue, until Hannah ended up back inside the Great Tythe Barn (now rearranged for the evening party) to walk down the room, through a fabulous confetti of balloons and bubbles, balloons also cascaded down from above, until she found Caroline, waiting for her at the top of the room to cut the cake, and have their first dance and for the evening reception to begin.

It was a fabulous party, lots of dancing, and shots, and delicious pizza, just at the right time - and because both Caroline and Hannah’s guests love to party, there was a great fun vibe on the dance floor, all evening long.

As the rain had stopped again, we popped outside for a few more outdoor photos to capture the soft evening light and then, with loads of photos from an amazing day, it was time for me to leave. I hugged everyone goodbye, got back to my very local hotel, where I immediately uploaded and safely saved all of the photos from the day, before tumbling in to my lovely comfy bed and falling into a very deep sleep!

The whole wedding day was amazing! And here is a slideshow of a few of the highlights of this wonderful wedding day.

Enjoy!

Delightful Christening in Gerrards Cross - Christening and Events Photography Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, London, Josie Gray

When Patsy and Joe booked me to photograph their beautiful little daughter’s Baptism, I could not have been more pleased.

For most of 2021 I have been booked up with Personal Brand photography photoshoots and Wedding photography, so it was lovely to get the chance to photograph a lovely family and young baby again, celebrating their special Baptism day.

First of all there was a Baptism service held at the Roman Catholic Holy Rood Church in Watford. The light inside the church was lovely so I did not need to use my flash inside the church, but we were all asked to wear our masks, which of course we were happy to to comply. After the short service and prayers, and a few photographs of the families and friends around the font, we then left Watford for Gerrards Cross.

The celebration and Reception was held at Di Paolo’s Italian Restaurant in Gerrards Cross. It was a lovely restaurant with plenty of windows and very spacious and Paolo and his wife and team made us all feel very welcome (the coffee and food was delicious too!). Everybody enjoyed mingling and chatting before being called through for their meal in the main restaurant.

I photographed family groups, friends, and plenty of candid photos of the guests all chatting and enjoying being together again after so long. Rather than guests moving around too much, Patsy decided it was better to take the baby to each table for photographs! Many babies may not have been quite so happy about being passed around from cuddle to cuddle, but this little baby just laughed and gurgled at everyone, she was such a happy baby and was in top form!

Her beautiful christening gown was a family heirloom of the prettiest silk with a matching bonnet, very pretty, and the baby was later changed into a more practical party dress which looked equally pretty and special.

We had a lovely day, and everyone enjoyed being together, good company, great food, to celebrate the baptism of the dear baby.

I had a lovely time, and captured some fabulous photos which you can see in the slide show here. Best viewed on a larger screen, with the sound on!
